Graduation! Watch out that first step is a lulu!

Norah had her "Graduation" at preschool on Wednesday. I took off work to get her there while Glen took Annie for a doctors appointment. She was so funny. They called her name and she strutted across the floor like she had won an Emmy. Everyone in the room cracked up.
They have graduations at the end of every semester mostly for the adult college students that teach the classes. Many of then will not be back next semester but they still want to see their student graduate. The kids love it and it is a good incentive for the teachers.

This was Norahs teacher (name withheld cause I don't know if she wants me to put it up here) this semester. She was fabulous. Really interested, kept changing things up to keep Norah excited about learning and listening. She even bought Norah some workbooks for over Christmas break.

This is a sink hole! It was in the parking lot of Carinos. They had it all roped off with yellow tape, you know like a crime scene. It was super deep and oddly fascinating to me. Now that I think about it maybe I need to get out more often.

Pears and Pirate Ships

Norah found this pear in the backyard and told me that it looked like a "sleepy face". So we brought it inside and drew on some eyes and a chin. I'm not sure where he ended up after that, may end up finding him all dried up under a bed someday.

Glen and Norah made a pirate ship the other day. Glen said that it was all Norahs idea. That she would tell him what she wanted on it and then Glen had to figure out how to make it happen. That sure does sound like she is trying to take over my role around here. (;

New study shows pigtails decrease time outs

She gets in SO much less trouble when she has her hair fixed like this. It just amazes me that pigtails can do that.

Last Saturday

Last Saturday consisted of crafts (as usual), sand art.....
The little card says, "Turkay and scarecrow".

The Home Depot craft day. Norah made a spice rack for Nana and Popi.

Our friend Aidens 3rd birthday party. Happy Birthday!

Norah was still going, even after all of that. I wish I had that much energy.

Halloween 2010

Since Halloween fell on a Sunday this year some of the towns had Trick or Treating on Saturday and some on Sunday. We took Norah over by my brothers house Saturday night and then stayed around our house Sunday night. On Saturday Norah dressed up as Tinker Bell. Complete with large doses of "fairy dust". She had to be chauffered between stops in her stroller, even to the point of us having to make her get out and walk up to some of the front doors. (She wanted to be pushed up to the door)
Norah in her usual state of "I've got this now. Back off!"

She sure did love the glitter duster.

Sunday we carved our pumpkins and made cinnamon/sugar pumpkin seeds. Because you always need MORE sugar around Halloween time.

High tech pumpkin carving. Avoids little fingers getting cut.

Sunday night it was back to her costume from last year with glitter of course.

My brother and his wife dressed up like bumble bees. She made those costumes herself! Ah! Love......

Boo had to try on the one of the bee costumes and then do a little dance in the front yard to show us where the honey was located. I got some of it on video but can't figure out how to get it on here.

Norah checking out her stash.

The whole motley crew. Minus our friends Mike, Melissa and Eli who were unable to make it out. We sure did miss them and hope they had a great Halloween.

Norah's pumpkin, cut out exactly as she drew it.

The end of the night. The witch hat has changed places and the iphone has been brought out to entertain Norah. We really had a good time and can't wait for next Halloween.
