Chinese New Year 2010 - Year of the Tiger

This Saturday we celebrated Chinese New Year with the Families with Children from China group that we belong to.

Norah got to see lots of her friends. Including Jen.

There were crafts to make.

A demonstration by the local Taekwondo class.

The kids paraded around the building participating in the ribbon dance and dragon dance while stepping on bubble wrap (safe indoor fireworks).

Needless to say Norah and all the kids were just a little excited about the whole thing.

Out of 20, that's right 20 tries this was the best picture that I could get of Norah with the dragon.

There was also a silent auction where I won a book and 2 passes to the Little Rock Zoo. Yeah! me.
We also had dinner and met a very nice couple with a 3 year old little girl. We hope to see them at future events.
Norah and our family were recognized, along with others for having completed our adoption this year.
We are very thankful to have such a supportive group of friends.

There's a celebration in March here - the earlier one was cancelled due to the weather. We are taking Little T and I can't wait!

Hugs,
